Who can use the Food Pantry?
We are open to anyone who meets the income eligibility.
What do I need to bring with me?
On your first visit, you will need ID for each family member living in your home.
What happens when I get there?
On your first visit, you will have a short interview in which all family members will be noted in your file. We will also discuss the household income. If you meet the eligibility, you will then be called to "shop."
Shop?
Ours is a "Choice" Food Pantry. This means that you will be allowed to choose the food for you and your family. Our staff will help you with the quantities allowed, and you will take one of our shopping carts and make your selections.
What kind of food will I get?
Based upon what we have in stock, you may select from an assortment of meats, vegetables, fruits, cereals, canned goods, crackers, breads, and more. Our inventory is always changing.
What about other things, like toilet paper or diapers?
Remember that this is a FOOD pantry. Sometimes we have other household items available, but we don't guarantee it.
Can I come every week?
Each family is eligible to visit our Food Pantry twice per calendar month. The last two Wednesdays are the most busy.
Can someone else get my food if I can't get there?
No. You are the only person who can sign for your account.
Can I call ahead and have you hold a number for me?
No. All numbers are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do not arrive in time to get a number, you are still welcome to stay for dinner.
